Boys Under 13's seek national glory

On Saturday 14th September, our Boys U13's face Dorridge CC on the Nursery at Lord's seeking to become national champions.

The Richmond Cricket Club boys have been on a thrilling run this season in the ECB’s U13 Vitality Junior National Championship Finals culminating in a visit to Lord’s on Saturday, 14 September for the Final. The competition began in April with an exciting match against our top local rivals, Wycombe House, as the first of three rounds in the South Division of Middlesex Junior Cricket Association. Following the defeat of Sunbury CC by 91 runs, Richmond progressed through the two Middlesex County stages to win the title against Hampstead CC by 92 runs. Richmond then opened its regional campaign with a close game against a very strong Ashtead CC of Surrey side which was followed by an emphatic win over Wokingham CC by 87 runs. In the Regional Finals Day Richmond came up against Stony Stratford CC before comfortably taking the London and South East final against Oakfield Parkonians CC of Essex by 8 wickets. In the semi-finals, Richmond faced its toughest challenge yet against Lisvane CC of Wales losing 4 wickets for only 29 runs before fighting back to a thrilling victory.

Richmond’s 2024 National Cup Run:
Round 1 vs Wycombe House – Richmond won by 66 runs
Round 2 vs Ashford – Richmond won by 6 wickets
Divisional Final vs Sunbury – Richmond won by 91 runs
County Semi-final vs Harrow St Marys – Richmond won by 53 runs
County Final vs Hampsted – Richmond won by 92 runs
Regional Round 1 vs Ashtead – Richmond won by 5 wickets
Regional Round 2 vs Wokingham – Richmond won by 87 runs
Regional Semi-Final vs Stony Stratford – Richmond won by 6 wickets
Regional Final vs Oakfield Parkonians – Richmond won by 8 wickets
National Semi-Final vs Lisvane – Richmond won by 4 wickets
