Welcome to the New Mini's Program!
Richmond Cricket Club is excited to announce our new 13-week Mini's programme this season for U6s & U7s which will replace our previous Richmond CC All Stars programme. Like All Stars, our programme is also designed to be a child's introductory experience to the sport, develop their hand-eye coordination, make new friends and have lots of fun in the process!
Key course features include:
• Thirteen an hour and a half weekly sessions on Sundays starting on 27 April at 10:00am
• Accredited and DBS-checked coaches who have designed a program for fun and skills development
• Fully inclusive and designed to support a wide range of abilities, disabilities and different learning needs
• A Richmond CC training shirt.
• Parents receive an Old Deer Park card allowing for 10% discount on drinks and snacks available at the bar
• Part of a fun and festive atmosphere with dozens of boys and girls up to the age of 10 training along with the opportunity to watch top level Ladies matches on site
Children will learn fundamental movement skills including catching, throwing and batting, with soft balls and plastic bats used in the sessions.
The following skills covered during the program:
• Batting – hitting a moving ball
• Throwing – underarm and overarm
• Catching – small and large balls
• Bowling – overarm
• Running – lots of movement
• Teamwork – fun games with friends
• Communication – the basics of cricket
• Spirit of Cricket – how to respect others
The subscription for this programme is £65 including a Richmond CC training shirt.
